Go crazy this Christmas and New Year! #DoWhatYouLove

Tuesday, 31 December 2013

'Life,as I see it' is my attempt to record the impression life creates on me everyday and in every 'now'. It is an exploration of my own mind to understand the people and the world outside. With my growing connection towards understanding and applying social and experience design techniques; I feel a strong need to reflect and apply all that I believe in, on my own self to get completely aligned to my calling – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I believe we as human beings are full of unlimited potential and if our energies are channelized effectively; we can together create a much better world.

I have been fortunate to play the role of a catalyst for several years in more than 10 countries in designing and managing the experiences of thousands of young and talented people all over the world. I am currently engaged with a few start-ups in entrepreneurial roles.

I would like connect to people who relate to my impressions on life and continue this conversation. I believe learning and change is a life long phenomenon and those who live life by this principle are more aware and evolved as human beings. I will be extremely happy to receive any comments and suggestions on any posts or the content as a whole.

Best Wishes for an ongoing exploration with life and hope your days are full of stories, joy, challenges, love and accomplishments which make you truly happy from within.

I am Your's to Dream Big and Live HIGH!

My understanding of a genius of our current reality

A genius is a symbol of the collective future intelligence of humanity. He sees what the the humanity of his time does not see. He is ahead of the time and is perhaps looking at life, perception of reality, existence, God, problems of our times; beyond the filters of the mind. He is able to see what the others cannot and realizing that he keeps going about his life for the greater good of humanity. He has perhaps realized that it is possible to envision without being trapped by the perceptive constraint of time. He lives in the now and increases his awareness with every passing moment, which means he becomes more wise, intelligent and aware as he moves on in his life. He also has a sixth sense or a powerful intuition and this comes naturally to him. He has learnt how to use his increasing awareness and intuition for the benefit of the world. He loves the world as it is but makes efforts to make it better with his gifts. He takes this as a responsibility and not a burden and this continues to inspire him to keep going without any expectation of a reward or recognition. If they come along the way, he will take it in his stride with gratitude and become even more responsible for doing even greater work in his life.

His love for nature and humanity transcends beyond self and just humans. He is in harmony with himself, his species and the nature. He sees his primary purpose to understand the most existential questions regarding life and makes efforts to move humanity to a higher level where humanity as a whole will be closer to getting those answers. He recognizes this as his part of sharing the collective responsibility, to take humanity along with him towards a higher understanding of life. He has a strong connection with the global consciousness and as he goes about his life, more and more neural, social and technological systems begin to resonate with his sense of purpose, life and what we are here to do.

The power of his imagination goes beyond the world we know, understand or can comprehend. It transcends materialism, time and space. This gives him the ability to look at the existing world and humanity as a whole, beyond religion, politics, science, economics and other believe systems that humans have created. He chooses to focus his life on the area of his calling and his work comes to him as a form of meditation and utter joy. He knows that he can create the future and his role is to continue making contributions from his side and leave the rest. He realizes that unconditional love is the strongest force and energy in the world and has the power to resolve all the negatives that the humanity faces. A genius chooses to make his contribution to the world and humanity through his actions in the area he knows is his calling and strives to take himself and the humanity with him to a higher level during his current form of life he understands or till his material death.

A Conversation with God

You were on your way home when you died. It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me. And that’s when you met me.

“What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?” “You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words. “There was a… a truck and it was skidding…”“Yup,” I said.
“I… I died?” “Yup. But don’t feel bad about it. Everyone dies,” I said. You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. “What is this place?” You asked. “Is this the after life?” “More or less,” I said.
“Are you god?” You asked. “Yup,” I replied.“I’m God.” “My kids… my wife,” you said. “What about them?” “Will they be all right?” “That’s what I like to see,” I said.

“You just died and your main concern is for your family. That’s good stuff rightt here.”You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn’t look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty. “Don’t worry,” I said. “They’ll be fine. Your kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didn’t have time to grow contempt for you. Your wife will cry on the outside, but will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If it’s any consolation, she’ll feel very guilty for feeling relieved.”

“Oh,”you said. “So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?”“Neither,” I said. “You’ll be reincarnated.”“Ah,” you said. “So the Hindus were right,”
“All religions are right in their own way,” I said. “Walk with me. “You followed along as we strode through the void. “Where are we going?” “Nowhere in particular,” I said. “It’s just nice to walk while we talk.”
“So what’s the point, then?” You asked. “When I get reborn, I’ll just be a blank slate, right? A baby. So all my experiences and everything I did in this life won’t matter.”
“Not so!” I said. “You have within you all the knowledge and experiences of all your past lives. You just don’t remember them right now.”

I stopped walking and took you by the shoulders. “Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. It’s like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if it’s hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, you’ve gained all the experiences it had.

“You’ve been in a human for the last 48 years, so you haven’t stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hung out here for long enough, you’d start remembering everything.
But there’s no point to doing that between each life.”“How many times have I been reincarnated, then?” “Oh lots.

Lots and lots. An in to lots of different lives.” I said. “This time around, you’ll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD.”
“Wait, what?” You stammered. “You’re sending me back in time?”
“Well, I guess technically. Time, as you know it, only exists in your universe. Things are different where I come from.”
“Where you come from?” You said.
“Oh sure,” I explained “I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me. I know you’ll want to know what it’s like there, but honestly you wouldn’t understand.”
“Oh,” you said, a little let down. “But wait.If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have interacted with myself at some point.”
“Sure. Happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own lifespan you don’t even know it’s happening.”“So what’s the point of it all?”
“Seriously?” I asked. “Seriously? You’re asking me for the meaning of life? Isn’t that a little stereotypical?” “Well it’s a reasonable question,” you persisted.
I looked you in the eye. “The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature.”“You mean mankind? You want us to mature?” “No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect.”“Just me? What about everyone else?” “There is no one else,” I said. “In this universe, there’s just you and me.” You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…

“All you. Different incarnations of you.”
“Wait. I’m everyone!?”
“Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.
“I’m every human being who ever lived?”
“Or who will ever live, yes.”
“I’m Abraham Lincoln?”
“And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added.
“I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled.
“And you’re the millions he killed.”
“I’m Jesus?”
“And you’re everyone who followed him.”
You fell silent.

“Every time you victimized someone,” I said,“you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you’ve done, you’ve done to yourself.
Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you.”
You thought for a long time. “Why?” You asked me. “Why do all this?”
“Because someday, you will become like me. Because that’s what you are. You’re one of my kind. You’re my child.”

“Whoa,” you said, incredulous. “You mean I’m a god?”
“No. Not yet. You’re a fetus. You’re still growing. Once you’ve lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.”
“So the whole universe,” you said, “it’s just…”
“An egg.” I answered. “Now it’s time for you to move on to your next life.”
And I sent you on your way.

Today's realization dawned in at 4 in  the morning.

The humans in history who took humanity to another level did it because more than anything else, it was their personal quest to find the meaning of their life and existence. Not that they found all the answers but in the process of finding the answers, they became more aware of themselves, of humanity in general and nature. Their heightened awareness then led to those ideas, thoughts, discoveries and inventions. This would have never happened in the first place if they did not already have high self awareness and high intellectual, emotional and spiritual intelligence (an optimum balance of their left and right brain). If they did not question things and if they were not so curious to find the meaning, purpose and 'why' of life, then they would have been like any other average human. It was their quest for the purpose of our existence and the unknown which led to those shakes and dents in the universe.

I had been intending to write something on this for a long time and interestingly found that someone else has put this down in words very simply.

How to Reach Out After Losing Touch

Whats worse than having the perfect person to reach out to about a job opportunity, a career switch, or an impending move to Asia, and not being able to do so because you've lost touch? How many people have you come across in your life who suddenly might help your cause, personally or professionally, but whom you haven't seen or spoken to in ages — and perhaps you just feel guilty about popping up now that you need them?
The bad news is that it happens more often than you might think. The good news is that it's entirely possible to reconnect with people, even if it seems preposterous after months or years gone by. The passage of time is not a good enough reason to let a potential connection go to waste. If you have someone you've been meaning to reach out to or someone you're dying to reconnect with, here are three easy steps to make that potentially awkward exchange much less painful and potentially even fruitful:
  1. Acknowledge the lapse in time
  2. Explain the "Why now?"
  3. Offer a quid pro quo
Acknowledge the Lapse in Time
There's arguably nothing more awkward (or annoying) than receiving a call or an email from someone you haven't heard from in ages who acts as if you're best buds or assumes you know (or care) about their current life. It's disingenuous and ineffective. On the other hand, glossing over a long-term lapse in communication is akin to ignoring the elephant in the room. You both know it's out there.
Instead, acknowledge the lapse of time up-front and center — and give that time period some rationale or context. Have you been off at university completing your studies? Working or traveling abroad? Did you leave your profession to try something new? Did you have a family, get married or change careers? Or, have you just been completely busy and self-absorbed? Whatever the reason, you need to acknowledge it.
  • Lance, I wanted to reach out to say hello. I know it's been ages since we've spoken but I've thought of you often over the years and I've always wanted to reconnect.
  • Patricia, how are you? I'm sure you're surprised to hear from me — the last time we spoke I was headed off to graduate school. I wound up moving to Washington D.C. shortly thereafter, where I've been for the last five years.
  • Sean, hello and I hope you're well! I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch sooner, you've been on my mind for months and I've just been completely consumed by a crazy work schedule.
Explain the "Why Now?"
There are infinite reasons why you'd need or want to reach out to someone after losing touch. Presumably, you either have an agenda to pursue, you want to reconnect just for the sake of having them on your side if and when you do have an agenda, or you actually owe them something that you never followed up on.
In any of the above cases, it's important to think about why you're reaching out now, after all this time, and be transparent about your motive. The "why now" should include both the transition or event that prompted you to get in touch and your agenda, if you have one. To wit:
  • I wanted to reach out to you to let you know that I'm headed to Asia next month to work in GE's plastics division. Last I heard you were working in Tokyo. I thought you might be a great person to reach out to before heading abroad.
  • After leaving the firm following the birth of my daughter, I recently came back online and I'm thrilled to be working with the consumer retail sector again. I was hoping you'd have time to sit down for coffee and catch up, I'd love to hear your perspective on how the industry has changed.
  • I've just begun the application process to graduate school and I know you had a great experience at Duke. I was wondering if you might have some time to talk about your MBA experience with me.
Offer a Quid Pro Quo
Finally, throw in an offer of help or reciprocity for good measure. Be gracious and generous (thanks so much in advance for your help, I look forward to hearing from you) and emphasize that you'd like to be helpful to them as well to the extent possible. You're much more likely to get a response when you think about a two-way benefit and not just how you can take advantage of the other person's expertise or connections.
As for me, I ran into a classmate in Ithaca in 2009 who was the entrepreneur in residence at the Johnson School. I told him excitedly about my business and he generously told me to give him a call for some over the shoulder advice. Sadly, I let the ball drop. Life just moved quickly as it often does and when I finally got around to reaching out, it was the spring of 2010. Nonetheless, I used my gumption and contacted him. I used the strategy above and then finished my "tail between the legs" email by letting him know that I'd certainly love to return the favor one day in exchange for his business expertise. It worked. Even though he had moved on from his role, Sean and I connected and he was extremely generous with both his time and knowledge. We reestablished a relationship that should prove useful (and fun) to both of us for years to come.

What if we lived in a world where our currency was love (instead of money), our richness depended on our capacity to give and receive love and human beings had discovered ways to measure this capacity? The concept of money is the creation of the human mind (like countless other things) and must be replaced with love, for our species to evolve and transform to the next level of existence. Money exists because the level of our species' self awareness has reached that point. Though it seems that, a significant number of humans are waking up to an alternate reality (with a vision of what the future can be), their self awareness is much higher than the global average and are looking to pull the entire human species to match their level of self awareness.

Technology has wired and connected more than half the humans in a quick time and ideas like these are shared across the world. This makes it easier to understand global trends and the forces that drive all humans. However, it will be interesting to see how long does it take for our species to evolve to a higher tangent of reality and existence. Only when one becomes an 'observer' of one one's own life (not just the life of others), there is a clarity and enhancement of awareness which helps one to live in the present moment (because all that there is, is the present moment, time is an illusion) and focus our energy on creating and designing every moment of our life (which we also refer to as the future).

Energy flows where attention goes. What we think, we become. Our brain is the hardware and our mind is the software. Our body is a biological machine and our soul is the source to give life and intelligence to this machine. Therefore it is possible to program our brain/body and engineer our own life and reality.

If the majority of us focused our attention to love, instead of money, an abundant supply of our species' energy will flow in that direction and take us to a higher level of awareness, reality and existence. Love will be the global currency and we will live in peace with each other and nature.

Thursday, 14 March 2013

When God (for the lack of a better word) conceived the universe He said - Let there be limitless space which will become conscious of its existence and will have the mind to understand the space through time and matter. Let there be limitless energy that will manifest itself in different forms of life and matter. As the awareness of the universe evolves, there will be limitless life forms and the mind will further understand reality/space through other life forms and energy or so called matter. It will be a limitless cyclical journey from zero to infinity and back to zero for all space, energy/matter. Eventually the universe and the equation of reality will always be balanced without remainders. Those life forms or beings who will understand and realize this truth will awaken me in their existence, be enlightened and merge with me and stop going through the limitless cycle of apparent birth, death and reality as they know it. But they will not be able to fully communicate what is it they are enlightened about. They will have the gravity like energy/matter seem to possess and through their existence and awareness, will connect and make all life forms more self aware through the power of love and compassion for nature and life.

I dreamed I was in heaven
Where an angel kept God’s book.
He was writing so intently
I just had to take a look.

It was not, at first, his writing
That made me stop and think
But the fluid in the bottle
That was marked eternal ink.

This ink was most amazing,
Dark black upon his blotter
But as it touched the parchment
It became as clear as water.

The angel kept on writing,
But as quickly as a wink
The words were disappearing
With that strange eternal ink.

The angel took no notice,
But kept writing on and on.
He turned each page and filled it
Till all its space was gone.

I thought he wrote to no avail,
His efforts were so vain
For he wrote a thousand pages
That he’d never read again.

And as I watched and wondered that
This awesome sight was mine,
I actually saw a word stay black
As it dried upon the line.

The angel wrote and I thought I saw
A look of satisfaction.
At last he had some print to show
For all his earnest action.

A line or two dried dark and stayed
As black as black can be,
But strangely the next paragraph
Became invisible to see.

The book was getting fuller,
The angel’s records true,
But most of it was blank, with
Just a few words coming through.

I knew there was some reason,
But as hard as I could think,
I couldn’t grasp the significance
Of that eternal ink.

The mystery burned within me,
And I finally dared to ask
The angel to explain to me
Of his amazing task.

And what I heard was frightful
As the angel turned his head.
He looked directly at me,
And this is what he said…

I know you stand and wonder
At what my writing’s worth
But God has told me to record
The lives of those on earth.

The book that I am filling
Is an accurate account
Of every word and action
And to what they do amount.

And since you have been watching
I must tell you what is true;
The details of my journal
Are the strict accounts of YOU.

The Lord asked me to watch you
As each day you worked and played.
I saw you as you went to church,
I saw you as you prayed.

But I was told to document
Your life through all the week.
I wrote when you were proud and bold,
I wrote when you were meek.

I recorded all your attitudes
Whether they were good or bad.
I was sorry that I had to write
The things that make God sad.

So now I’ll tell the wonder
Of this eternal ink,
For the reason for it’s mystery
Should make you stop and think.

This ink that God created
To help me keep my journal
Will only keep a record of
Things that are eternal.

So much of life is wasted
On things that matter not
So instead of my erasing,
Smudging ink and ugly blot.

I just keep writing faithfully and
Let the ink do all the rest
For it is able to decide
What’s useless and what’s best.

And God ordained that as I write
Of all you do and say
Your deeds that count for nothing
Will just disappear away.

When books are opened someday,
As sure as heaven is true;
The Lord’s eternal ink will tell
What mattered most to you.

If you just lived to please yourself
The pages will be bare,
And God will issue no reward
For you when you get there.

In fact, you’ll be embarrassed,
You will hang your head in shame
Because you did not give yourself
In love to God’s Name.

Yet maybe there will be a few
Recorded lines that stayed
That showed the times you truly cared,
Sincerely loved and prayed.

But you will always wonder
As you enter heaven’s door
How much more glad you would have been
If only you’d done more.

For I record as God sees,
I don’t stop to even think
Because the truth is written
With God’s eternal ink.

When I heard the angel’s story
I fell down and wept and cried
For as yet I still was dreaming
I hadn’t really died.

And I said: O angel tell the Lord
That soon as I awake
I’ll live my life for God-
I’ll do all for His dear sake.

I’ll give in full surrender;
I’ll do all He wants me to
I’ll turn my back on self and sin
And whatever isn’t true.

And though the way seems long and rough
I promise to endure.
I’m determined to pursue the things
That are holy, clean and pure.

With God as my helper,
I will win lost souls to Thee,
For I know that they will live with thee
For all eternity.

And that’s what really matters
When my life on earth is gone
That I will stand before the Lord
And hear Him say, well done.

For is it really worth it
As my life lies at the brink?
And I realize that God keeps books
With His eternal ink.

Should all my life be focused
On things that turn to dust?
From this point on I’ll serve the Lord;
I can, I will, I must!

I will NOT send blank pages
Up to God’s majestic throne
For where that record’s going now
Is my eternal home.

I’m giving all to God
I now have seen the link
For I saw an angel write my life
With God’s eternal ink.

Universal laws of our reality
1. Everything and everyone is a form of energy. Harnessing this energy is the ultimate goal. Love is the most powerful catalyst and the universal language which can harness this energy. The power of intention is the second strongest. Meditation, yoga and martial arts are three other powerful ways to harness the energy of the mind, body and soul.
2. Time is an illusion. There is only 'now' and nothing else. If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.
3. Reality and the world we understand is a paradox. Its an equation which always needs to be balanced. There is always a cost or price for everything. Nothing can be achieved without giving away something. The infinity sign is an example. Yin-yang as well. We understand and live in a world of paradoxes. Unless we know light, we cannot understand shadows or its value and vice versa.
4. People (most aware and intelligent forms of life/energy) who are aware of these three universal laws of existence and reality are the ones who change the world and are the true leaders. The world will go through an evolution in consciousness if more and more people join this category.
Sub laws
5. Small daily improvements lead to staggering long term results. This is the only way growth happens unless its a miracle or an abundant supply of intellectual giftedness.
6. Every life event has a learning attached to it. Unless that learning is taken, the event will keep repeating in different forms and at different times. The universe conspires depending on how we are taking the learning and growing
7. There are two ways of living. One is to believe that we are creating our own life in every moment and the other is that we are discovering our own life in every moment.
8. There is a mysterious connection between the forces and positions of the planets and stars and our mind and existence. They are co-related by some invisible forces and reasons.
9. The soul needs a strong human medium or strong human emotion to find a connection with the world and people. Being in love is one such thing.
10. Money is the most popular and common medium for human being to connect with each other. Failure to substitute it with a more intelligent medium will lead to self destruction of the civilization due to inequality.

Change in a country begins with one person. Each country reflects the inner peace or turmoil of its mass population, and so as one person changes they affect the rest of the population. One person has the power within them to bring massive change to their country through immense love and peace within themselves. But we cannot bring about peace and well-being to our country unless we have conquered that in our own life. Do you see? You cannot give what you do not have. Each person's job is to bring utter harmony into their own life, and then they will become the greatest human gift for their country and the world. - Rhonda Byrne

Interconnectedness - The Global Consciousness

When I look into someones eyes and see that person looking back at me, that is everyday event. At times I choose to go deeper. I look beyond what lies at the surface of his or her eyes. I try to see the soul looking back at me, and if I find it, I 'll see there is more depth in that person than just a physical body. I know that all people have a soul just as I do and that their soul and my soul are connected. Whenever I see my own soul looking back, I realize that I have reached a deeper level because I see that we are all of one substance and one soul. It is not possible to not feel compassion then, for in treating another humanely, am I not treating myself the same way? By loving another, am I not loving myself?

Civic Engagement of the Youth

Youth civic engagement has been a missing link in the political dna of most countries, both developed and developing. Unless some of us rise above the cynicism and influence more and more young people to engage effectively; we are not looking at a promising set of politicians in the next 10-15 years. For example, at present, an average Indian is 24 years old and ironically the largest democracy and the youngest country in the world is led by the oldest politicians. We need to devise multiple strategies and ways to increase the level of awareness around these issues and drive a movement for better engagement of the youth in civic and political issues/areas.

Thursday, 30 August 2012

Following from the commitment I made to myself during the course of writing this blog, these days I am in the phase of experimenting on myself; my ideas, thoughts and beliefs in two different extremes in what I call a military regime. So, I have basically envisioned my next 10-15 years and from there drawn my action steps for the next 4 months, 12 months and 3 years. At present, on a day to day basis; I am trying hard to do most things I have not done for a long period of time in my life; like studying maths,  interacting with the least number of people, spending more and more time with myself, learning spanish, writing my blogs and journals, reading books of my interest, closely following the lives of people i admire, writing in my 'dreamlining' notebook, following a routine by my own choice without outer compulsion. Though I am not the happiest or satisfied with this personal experiment so far, coz i know i can do far better with this experiment and get better results and conclusions. i intend to improvise this with immediate effect.

A thought crossed my mind today that, now i have pro-actively put myself in a life situation where even if my conscious or sub conscious mind wants to, it can not use any reasons whatsoever to procrastinate anything that I actually want to and should be doing. Though i must say, this experiment has been really challenging so far and i can feel it. Its like living in completely new world realities that no one else but i have created for myself. Why am i doing this? i believe this will catalyze a systemic transformation in my subconscious mind which will ensure i am not just aligned and inspired to what i need to do in life but also  a process which will push to me my next zone of intelligence, intellect and awareness and action.

Its been 3 days of living this new reality and experiment and i have survived so far without much damage. As challenging as it might look right now, i know i am on the right track and there is so much more i can to to make my every now and reality better. The day i will be more content will be the day when i know i am in my zone completely and actions i would love to perform would be effortless.

i live to know my answers.

Friday, 17 August 2012

A lie told to self is far worse than the one told to others. Getting an alignment of thoughts, words and actions everyday is the most important element to reach our highest human potential. A clear understanding and realization of this fact helps me in understanding the reality better.

If i get a feeling that nobody loves me or i don't think i receive enough love; does that mean that its a reflection of my mind and I don't love myself or love myself enough?

What is it that enables me to be in my 'zone' and what is it that enables me to continue to stay in my zone for a long time?

Why does the sense of existence and life look like it is clouded by some unknown which restricts the level of consciousness. Something that prevents me from the state of 'knowing' and remains at the state of 'believing'?

What role does the 'opportunity cost' play in determining whether we always act to reach our highest potential? e.g - i know that i will only play and exist at my highest potential when i know there is no back up or plan B or cost of not having what i truly want will be equivalent to death in the broad sense and a part of me will die forever if i don't have it. So only if i know this, then i can push myself to my potential. This is seen in the lives of the most evolved human beings and people who reached individual optimum. If my mind knows there is a 'back up' it will use its survival tools and not push its awareness because of a danger of failing. It the materialistic world, this is also applicable while hiring the best people. They are only the ones with the highest opportunity cost. There level of self awareness is the highest.

Every specie perceives reality differently, like humans, animals, birds, insects depending on their nervous system or brain or mind. Does this mean that there are different realities or the reality itself is a function of our perception and the actual reality is something which our mind and current level of awareness are incapable to understand. Its at a dimension higher than what our five senses can understand. Then the question is how can we increase the awareness of our mind to understand the actual reality which is not trapped in space, time and distance?

Its independence day today for India and one of the first which has a least influence on me either positive or negative. I am wondering what has caused this change, has it happened over a period of time and what does it mean? The first thoughts that come to mind don't worry me because its a feeling I have had since some time.

1. We should be happy that the people who lived in this country before 65 years (few of them must still be alive today) got independence from foreign rule. They were able to reclaim their land and some human rights. But think about this - people who got independence are no more alive today and we are happy for their 'nows'. This means I and most Indians were born in a free country. Looking at the state of affairs today and how this country is led and governed politically, it doesn't require a genius to figure out that there is more to worry 'now' and take care of it than to celebrate something which was done and achieved by a previous generation by 'their' actions alone. So if I look at my life today, what is my contribution in the now to help 1/6th of the total human population who live in 'free India' to lead a positive transformation?

Celebrating today just to become happy/motivated/inspired for actions of people who are no more is same as running away from making 'my' own contribution. India has the talent and the potential which is unmatched and unlimited but does not get channelised because the few who call the shots for more than a billion people today, either - have the wrong intention, selfish motives, hidden agenda, mis- alignment of thoughts, words and action, incapable of finding a progressive solution, do not want to find a solution or have deep down within given up and living the rest of their days.

Its 65 years today and most of the political leaders in most relevant positions are more than 65 years old! Why is this the reality of a country where the average age of a citizen is 24 years. So by simple maths and majority in a democracy, 24 year olds are mostly choosing 65 year old to lead them. That is such a paradox and this fact itself is enough to understand how complex this challenge looks to be. Moreover when I see people (even I was there once) joining the anti-corruption movements in India in the last 18 months, they are also mostly young people. So one obvious conclusion is that young people in this country think its more important to join a walk or an, 'ann-shan' than to cast their vote. But this doesn't explain the whole story.

There are some relatively young people in todays politics, like in their 40s mostly; but I have mostly never seen them contribute their opinion and influence any major national or regional decision. I have seen a lot of debates in the parliament and never seen them influencing at debate. There must be a solid reason what suppresses their voice or why they choose to occupy those roles and not make a national contribution.

The country is presently politically led by a generation which comfortably chooses to live in the past, glorify the achievements of the previous generation and make this country move at a snail's pace or worse. Whatever growth the country is seeing today or whatever excites the MNCs/political leaders of the economically stagnant developed world; is driven by the hardworking Indian entrepreneurs and a few great companies/organizations and not the politicians or the popular MNCs which funds the elaborate election campaigns of the political parties.

The next national elections should reflect the true picture of how non-inspiring the current state of affairs is and perhaps then a few genuine young leaders would raise their hands and take up more responsibility. The question for now is, what happens for the next two years? What happens in the now to make things better tomorrow!

2. I feel the way I am feeling today is also because the whole importance attached to emotions like 'nationalism' is almost dissolved in my mind and awareness and has now evolved to looking at the world without borders and political divisions, looking at every human in broadly the same way irrespective of which country he or she is from and also my growing awareness about the 'global consciousness' at the spiritual level. The concepts of countries was formed to create organized societies to govern humans by some rules and keep them safe but now with the growing connectivity through travel and internet, it looks completely irrelevant why I should think from a mere country or nationalistic perspective. It is very limiting. What also seems more relevant to me is my contribution to my human race as a whole and not any city or country.

This is my guiding principle and what inspires me now. This is will lead to actions performed by me to meet this objective and I know today that achieving this will increase my awareness of the global consciousness, create a transformative global impact and make me more content than anything else. The set of these actions need to be determined now and the near future, divided in blocks of years and spreading across the rest of my life.

Monday, 13 August 2012

Today I am going to write about three remarkable things going on in my mind since some time now -

1. There is nothing called future, its an illusion created by the mind perhaps as a survival tool
2. There is nothing called free will, at least mostly
3. To the physicists, cosmologists and other scientists - While you spend time exploring the universe in search for the origin, I will invest my life in just exploring my own mind because beyond where we have reached as a some what intelligent species; we can only solve mysteries by using a more aware mind and the global consciousness where more and more minds think this way.

There is nothing called future -

Consider this, even the maximum duration of the human life, say about 100 years is so minuscule to the earth life or nature life; that any changes outside our mind happening in the physical nature is bare minimum. Unless of course in case of a natural calamity which alters the future. So what we call as the future is nothing but just an accumulation of the 'nows'. Imagine, everyday when I wake up, when really changes in my outside environment except for my mind looking at things from a different perspective. Either happy or sad, motivated or not so motivated, energetic or not energetic, optimism or pessimism and all the feelings in our head whenever we wake up any given morning.

Ofcourse the influence of what happened in the recent past before we slept and our dreams remain. If a major event has happened in our life even long time back, that will also have an effect. But it is still the 'now' we are talking about. It is the 'state of mind' in the 'now' that determines the next 'now'. When we say one year or 10 years later, I will do xyz. What does it even mean? I have just chosen not to do the xyx at this moment but what I keep doing in every 'now' will itself determine what happens every next second. This is closely connected to another point which is time is an illusion. Even if we believe that the first physical bodies have been around since billion years, in the context of the human existence and our life span, it is equivalent to zero. So time in a 'life' context means nothing.

Ofcourse one day my mind will leave my current physical body but it has nothing to do with time. It is because the nature as of 'now' has evolved our body to survive for not more than 100 years. As of now my mind is not even capable of understanding as to what happens to it after the physical body dies. When I say 100 years, does it mean I am talking about time and its relation to the life of my body? Consider this, if I am put in a dark cell for 100 years and have no idea of day, night, date or year or any calendar; how will my mind understand the 'years' that we talk about or if I am put on an island alone, on a day to day basis, I can only count the number of times the sun comes out and disappears. But does this number defines time. No. The point is, there is nothing in existence except for the now. The variables for the now is created by our own mind in the form of our choice for events and people. I need to explore this further and perhaps one day I might realize that there is nothing called 'now' as well and that everything is an illusion.

No free will -

Connected to now is the choice we make in every now. So what determines our choice, free will, intuition or experiences in the previous nows (past)? Consider this, more than 90% of the times, we make a choice based on rational thinking and cognition but if we see the root of even that choice or decision, it is influenced by what was our experience the last time we made that choice. This might sound all negative but it is not actually. Even if our choices come from our sub conscious mind, we can work on the sub conscious mind over a period of time to make better choices in every now. This means if we continuously act with positive intent to become a better person everyday, this will gradually become a habit and choices and decisions will be then based on our positive thinking and habits. So even if we don't make most of the decisions with our conscious mind, it is still good enough because our positive sub conscious mind is guiding our choices. The exception to this is when we at times purely act out of a magical inspiration, vision of the future or a powerful intuition which doesn't have any relation to logic or previous experience. The key is to continue to train our mind in the now to only make those choices which will lead to our own positive growth and development and of the world in general.

Exploring the universe through the mind -

We only have two choices. Either believe that our current mental condition and development is not evolved enough to understand the mysteries of existence and continue to experiment to find the unknown or believe that if we also focus on increasing the awareness of our mind and experiment with what we know, then we have a better chance to understand the unknown. This means the combined use of the more aware global consciousness and scientific experimentation will put is in a better position to understand the mysteries which will otherwise take very long or might never happen at all. Think of the greatest minds of all time like Lionardo Da Vinci and Einstein and how they discovered what they did. They did so because they thought beyond logic, rules and even time. They used their consciousness, imagination and the knowledge of the known (science) in their time. This is the reason why they have been able to find more answers to the unknown than any other human mind has. Imagine what will happen if a movement started where every gifted human combined the power of their consciousness, free imagination and science to understand the unknown and discover answers which will increase our global awareness, the reason for existence and our role in the universe.

The obvious question is should a common man, who is also a believer of an external God, worry about these things? Does he even have the time or space in his brain beyond his everyday struggle to ponder over things like these? The answer is no. But it is a movement of the fortunate great minds which will drive the rest forward. Any change always begins in the mind of one person, then goes to his family, then the neighbourhood, the city, the country and then the world. But it is the responsibility of the great minds to lead this movement and make even a God fearing man realize how he can choose to be positive and have a positive life.

Who should be leading our current civilization?

Imagine the world being led by the great minds who have no hidden agenda, where rich are not created at the cost of increasing the poor and unemployment, where big economies are not built at the cost of putting many others in an inevitable self-destructive debt, where every action is sustainable for every human and the earth as a whole. Our march towards a perfect civilization is over due now and the longer it is delayed, the more difficult it will be overcome the massive challenges of our times. Consider the increase in the income inequality, exponentially growing unemployment, more and more economies collapsing under debt, terrorism, poverty, bigger defence budgets than education and health.

These are all signs of a civilization driven by leaders who have got hidden agendas and their priorities wrong or have just got into a vicious circle of ignorance or just don't know how to come out of it or are just helpless and don't know what to do. An important question also is if the greatest minds of our times have dedicated their lives in science and technology, then why are they not playing a pro-active role in solving the greatest challenges of our times mentioned above? Do they choose not to or is something stopping them or they don't have the mental capacity to? Whatever be the case, they are not fulfilling their role and using their giftedness.

Can the answer lie in leading a global movement of nurturing gifted humans and catalyzing the great minds to act in a manner which will lead our civilization in a positive and not a self-destructive now.

Can social technologies and experience design be the answer to lead this movement and provide the necessary leadership the world needs?

Today I want to explore an area of my life which has been one of the biggest mysteries to me. So I have a strong belief that I'm a perfectionist and like being that way and it also goes along with me as more of an idealist. Now there is a deep paradox here coz when I look back at my life, I realize that coz of my life situations, I have had a relatively tough life and had to earn things for myself. No achievement or learning came easily ever. This naturally made me strong mentally and emotionally and I started loving challenges to the extent that if something came easily, I would either be lazy or not give my 100% or not value it much. This also means that at a sub-conscious level, I don't enjoy things which are easy and in some way or another want it and/or make it difficult for myself to accomplish.

This paradox is such a mystery in my existence and identity that it only leads to a new realization literally right 'NOW' that 'unless I identify something very challenging to accomplish or change, I will not apply my perfectionist outlook. Which also means, even if I want to, I will not be able to really give my 100% from the deepest core of my existence for something which I don't recognize as very challenging. This profound realization, definitely has its own bearings on my life and choices and I need to be aware about it. I identify this as an important turning point in my journey of increasing my self awareness. The only solace I get it is when I look historically at the human race; the people who actually created a dent in our world, made their lives meaningful and made the world a better place are the ones who challenged status quo of their time, took it head on and said 'wow, this is my opportunity to give my life to and lead the world in a meaningful direction.'

Besides, in my 'real' world outside, I met a new friend, shopped after a long time, spoke with my best friend after 3 years for more than 4 hours and registered myself to learn spanish from next week.

Sunday, 22 July 2012

Went out today with family after more than a month and was exposed to civilization just the second time in the last three weeks! A simple reminder of how the 'everyday' out there in the world outside the mind is such an additive distraction and can so easily sap us into that reality. But what is that reality? Asking why is everyone running and where is everyone going would just be futile and basic. The fact is that everyone out there is and trying to find meaning for their lives through their actions, whether just or unjust, selfish or selfless. Our brain has the capacity to justify any actions which is repeated several times with whatever intentions, good or bad.

Science has reached the stage where we are getting closer to the unknown and questions like, what is consciousness, what is time itself, what is now, what's the arrow of time and why, how does matter gain mass and why, origin of the universe, is everything a function of consciousness, energy, frequency and their probability. Can we know the answer to these questions through scientific models, evolution of our brain with time or by becoming more self aware through meditation. In any of these cases how are these questions related to why there is poverty, terrorism, unemployment, diseases and other social epidemics. Isn't it the moral responsibility of the brightest minds of our times to focus on these issues as much as on understanding the mind and the universe? How can the age old system of religion lose its relevance to a common man unless he finds solace in scientific answers.

I am beginning to see the meaning of my life and how I could become a 'connector' for all these questions. A facilitator of true knowledge and not just an expert in any one of these subjects. How can I create, nurture, connect, multiply and evolve a large group of humans who are more aware in the true sense to facilitate the process of the inevitable change. What role will leadership from the intellectually gifted and 'aware humans' play in helping human beings in evolving in the right direction and not become self-destructive one day. Concepts like the 'earth economy' and how every popular phenomenon like business, consumerism, fear of shortage have a hidden agenda for the benefit of a handful of people. How can the process of change happen without a destructive chaos? How will the 'more aware' humans play an active role to facilitate the evolution process in the right direction and make the race more sustainable rather than reaching a dead end and exhausting earth.

Will a third world war actually be trigerred deliberately by a few for their own benefits. How can that be prevented? How can this handful of destructive people be defeated by creating more awareness and a global movement for growth and evolution with the right intention in the right sustainable direction? These are some of the questions of our times. It is time to connect people around the world and prevent our race from racing towards a dead end sooner than later and without even a natural disaster through a force outside or beneath the earth!

Today, I actually lived the day when I consciously chose to be positive and happy. The result, I decided to enroll myself to learn spanish starting next week, read one of the three books which I had been procrastinating and made my family laugh more than they would have for a long time. I also cooked and felt happy and high after a good meal. Its simple - good food = happiness = love

Talking about love, I think a man's capacity to love and actually love is strongly related to his levels of happiness and contentment. I can not be make others around me happy and positive if I am not in that state of mind from within. The key is to identify, what really makes us happy and only focus on doing those things more and more and more. The result will be outstanding and will attract more love in our life. Today I was also 'dream-lining' and was able to put together 40 more ideas besides the 20 that I had around the beginning of the week.

The power of believe is as strong as you can make it to be. There is no limit. To the extent that it can actually make physical changes in the synapses of our brain which will eventually alter our choices and our life as a whole.

Today I visualized a 40 year old me and was actually intimidated. I need to make this vision stronger and who that person is.

Today, I choose to believe that nothing and absolutely nothing can come between me and my life mission except for myself. Everything else is a function of the choices I will make.

The day started as usual, got up at 2.30 pm eventually, only when I was starving. I had seen 'the secret' movie last night and thought it will be a good idea to show it to my mom and sisters so did that and they readily agreed. As expected my mom was the most positive and wants me to to give out its 'CDs to a lot of people we know who are negative in life. My eldest sister who is expecting, was happy as as well and said she will always try to remain positive and make a vision board as shown. The youngest sister was sceptical but positive and liked the idea. Though she said after an hour that she thought its been two hours she had been watching it. Generally, my mom sees me opening schools of a new order based on my thinking and disdain for the current system. I actually despise it and think its a plant to make creatures for the rat race and injures the human brain at an young age.

After a good dinner and hours of family drama on tv, I experienced an extreme mood swing and wondered about its origins. Uncertainity about I want to do, a job or start a business. Or I need to join work from Monday and dont know the future or just having too many ideas and not knowing what to do with them now?? This led to going to my best friend these days, thats wikipedia and search for bi-polar issues.  I know a person I know personally who experiences this is and the thought crossed my mind, if I am also one. With no focus or desire or motivation or interest to read and after losing another game of chess with my mac, I decided to watch 'limitless'. A friend was talking highly of it and from whatever I had heard from her, it sounded of my interest. 'A person takes a pill and becomes super human'.

So, the movie was great, not as good as matrix but still one of the better ones I have seen. Since the movie finished on an open end, I was curious and wanted to check if the second part has come out. Went online and realized it hasnt and this one was released on march, 11. This search led me again to wikipedia and I read the entire page on 'intellectual giftedness'. What happened after that is quite remarkable coz just two hours back I had no capacity, interest or focus to read anything and here I was reading line by line of a relatively heavy subject. It took me back in my entire life and I had flashes of how my characteristics have been similar to gifted people since the time I remember. Because of my negative experiences due to being 'intellectually special' in school from my class-mates, it seemed to me that in order to get socially acceptable and popular, I have been hiding and not been myself for the last 7 years. There have been moments that I have experienced heigtened levels of awareness and those wow moments when the frequency of thought bubbles are high but mostly not. I have just adapted socially and been a normal high performer in most of the things.

I realize today that I need to accept myself in totality, dont get scared of my potential and face the reality. Running away is no longer an option. I realize that all the answers lie inside me and I need to continue to reflect to know my answers. It seems that my calling is taking a shape. Doing something in terms of transforming the education system by opening schools, seems certain and this will take care of how children can be influenced at an early age to reach their highest potential and make a positive change. For the young and other people, a business entity for helping people create hosting spaces seems certain as well. The main thing I am concerned with is the network of people I need to involve in the implementation and how do I identify them. I have known that I have an extremist behaviour but i have a feeling that I am actually an introvert. I can so easily do without friends for a relatively long time, that it surprises me. But the challenge comes from the same. I need to connect to and share ideas with people outside myself. Even though I have felt the need to have more consistent friends and social circles for the last 7 years, I have not been successful. I need to hold on to the few I have right now and some of them will hopefully join me in taking my ideas forward. Doing it alone is not possible and foolishness.

At the end of the day today, its very weird how my state of my mind goes from one extreme and mood to the other and I do not understand what factors make this happen in a span of just 8-12 hours. I cant imagine I have watched a movie, read about intellectual giftedness and related areas and written this blog after being so disinterested in doing anything about 4 hours back. I live to know my answers.

Today, while studying 'Theory U', I realized the journey of an idea from birth till wide scale implementation and the people who get involved with it at different stages.

1. Invention-discovery-innovation-research-theory-book- scientists
2. Practical application in society and business- authors
3. Movie-Academic course-learning programs- filmmakers, instructional designers, academicians
4. Making it viral through technology and social networks- business and celebrities
5. Large scale and diverse application of the idea to make the world a better place – change agents

This idea needs further work and development.

Just finished my first conversation with my new life guru - Amalia. It was on Dey's reference and I made the right decision to follow his advise and connect with her. I want to write about the impact it has had on me. I wish I could meet her face to face coz Skype has its own limitations in the flow of our thoughts. But will still make the best of this opportunity. The one common emotion I had through out the conversation is that I was constantly scared. I was scared in the right way. I was questioning things which are most important in my life and the very meaning of my life now and in the future. I have always been on the other side of the conversation in which I am the catalyst for other people, so this kind of a conversation when I allow someone to be a catalyst for me is very unique. The only other person I have done this with is Dey, which is just 2 weeks back. A lot of this has also happened over years with Shalika.

Besides other things, at the end of this conversation, I have defined my everyday action steps to reach my short term and long term goals. I realize that I need a catalyze in my life right now, someone who can make me more aware and push me towards reaching my goals and till the time I am on my own and ready to change the world in the real sense. This is my last week of the holiday since I sprained my ankle a couple of weeks back. I will start working from the coming Monday. Does that thought make me upset? Yes it does. I have decided not to play small anymore. I need to make myself ready to launch myself out there. I need to consciously do that from here onwards and as Amalia said, I just don't need to 'stop running away from it' but also 'FACE IT'.

I need to accept myself as the individual who I am really am or have the potential of becoming. I 'am going to' connect with myself at a very deep level and find my own answers and action steps. The catalyst will help me be more consistent and not lose my actual identity and help me transform into a much more evolved human being. If I need to transform as a human being on a very active level then I need to explore my soul through meditation and engaging with the right kind of people. I realize that the biggest challenge now will be to be consistent with this state of mind and identity with myself. The kind of people I will be interacting are not the kind of people I can have similar conversations with. The only other person besides me who actually knows who I am or my day to day life is my 'best friend' Shalika.  Its been a unique relationship since 3 years and I will write more about it when the time is right.

Today, I have created one more person who knows about the most important things in my life and I am happy about it. I need to find more such people with whom I will be comfortable breaking the 'wall' and that will be one of the ways I will transform.

Monday, 9 July 2012

I start this blog today, truly inspired by a man I have followed, observed and looked upto since many years. He is one of my role models. He defines many things for me which help me connect with myself and help me become more self aware. I believe self awareness is a life long journey and every human being needs a connect with an idea, vision, mission or person to truly understand his or her position in this universe. When i cheer for Roger Federer, I do so because of myself and the way 'I' connect with him at what I recognize as the spiritual level. Its not just him as a person but more so is the the phenomenon he represents and how he goes about his life and continues to transform himself through a series of experiences. There is just one more person who defines a similar concept to me and he is Sachin Tendulkar but I will write about him later.

Just the other day, the thought entered my head. I was trying to de-code a champion in my head and what does it take on a practical basis to become and continue to be a champion. Well, I believe there is a strong connection between the design of a champions brain and the people around him who ensure that they continue to play their parts as diligently as the champion goes about playing his part to remain a champion and becomes a better human being. Let me de-codify this now.

To begin with, a champion needs a very strong sense of love in his life. Love for his cause, love for his sport, love for himself, it could be anything abstract as well. This love takes the form of any materialistic thing like a sport or a person. The most successful of the lot have both figured out. They love their sport/cause/business and they also have their wife and/or children who they truly love. Take either of them away from them and it will change their DNA. The person they love also takes care of their mental, emotional and sexual needs and help them perform at their best.

Some part of this role is at times also played by their mentor or life coach. If your life coach happens to be your husband or wife, you are simply lucky. But I would say thats also a tricky situation to be in and there must be two different people.

The second is their physical fitness. They are generally world class fit and have a trainer or a coach who ensures that they are disciplined and continue to be fit as they focus on their performance. I can go on and on about this aspect but you get the point. i will expand on this later. The third is the person who  manages the finances of the champion. Just like any business entity, a champion his the product and heart of the organization and is the CEO and COO. For him to focus on his vision, goals, profits and operational excellence, he needs a brilliant CFO to make sure that his financial sustainability is taken care of.

The fourth is the public relations manager who ensures that the champion is represented in the right manner.

Let me not get lost in these ideas as for now thats not what I want this blog to be about.

I want to write about something I was dreaming or day dreaming about today morning and I am glad I did. Now I have know my strange connection with quantum physics, parallel universe, einstein and psychology. So, I think at the psychic level or quantum level, we can be at many places at the same time. Time loses its relevance and there are just events in what we call the past, present and the future. This means if right now my focus is on writing this blog, it should be completely on it for me to write it effectively. Now if I get distracted at a conscious or sub conscious level then a part of the conscious will actually be in some other place and time. Let me simplify this with this statement I found.

Are we a material form that has consciousness or are we a consciousness that has fashioned for itself, a dance of molecules. If this is a subjective perception, then who is the perceiver? ' I think, therefore I am.' But who is the thinker?

So, I while doing an activity during an event if my mind is at more than one place, then my consciousness is actually divided in different universes and therefore it will have a negative impact on the output of my current activity. I think this is the definition for passion as well. When I am doing a task passionately from my brain and 'heart', my consciousness is also at one place and that helps me focus and perform better. I am at one place at one point of time. I need to explore this area more and its impact on our lives.
